Almost the biggest lake in Europe is Lake Balaton, famous for the greyish-green, soft, shiny water surface with shallow shore and also well-known for its famous wine. These things make Lake Balaton one of the most popular destinations. If you choose this holiday you can also enjoyl the modern atmosphere of Budapest that is the centre of culture, tradition and hospitality. It’s a sightseeing and shopping paradise for tourists.

This is only one program schedule to enjoy the holiday from the beginning till the end:
Day 1: Arrive at Siófok about noon. You are welcomed with a cocktail, before the guide helps you booking into your room. You are then free to enjoy the hotel and surrounding area. Dinner (half-board) in the hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast heading to the beautiful capital of Budapest which is situated on the banks of the river Danube. The district of Buda and Pest, the covered-market, the Fishermen’s Bastion (Halászbástya) can be seen and also the amazing downtown area where you may take a walk on the crowdy mall. This trip takes about 3 hours. You then will have the opportunity to discover the city individually in the afternoon.
Dinner (half-board) in the Vénhajó restaurant, which is on board the Kossuth Museumboat. Followed by an hour long boat-trip on the Danube to view the lights of Budapest, an unforgettable end to a beautiful day.
Day 3: Travelling to Tihany by ferry across the Lake Balaton before moving on to Hévíz where you have the opportunity to bathe in the spa (do not forget to bring your bathing suit with you!). Finally being a guest of a real Hungarian peasant-wedding, the welcoming-drink is traditional Hungarian palinka (schnaps ). The program continues with the dinner with 4 dl wine, mineral water and coffee. A traditional folklore program will make this night unforgettable.
Day 4: Travelling to the artistic town of Szentendre. Enjoy its amazing atmosphere while roaming in the Open Air Village Museum (skanzen). Lunch is in an intimate restaurant in Jászárokszállás followed by a walk in the acient streets to enjoy this beautiful town. Visit the Caprice jewellery factory which has the worlds most amazing diamonds on show.
Day 5: The famous Puszta (overleaf) trip cannot be missed in Hungary. Visit a famous stud called Lipicai. Program: The group is welcomed with pálinka (traditional Hungarian schnaps) and langosh ( fried potato dough topped with sour cream / cheese / garlic ) afterwhich the group travel by coach to see a horse show a visit to a peasant farm with local guide followed by a large lunch (half-board) with wine, coffee and live gipsy music. The Pálinka Museum will be visited at the end of the day.
Day 6:. After breakfast travelling home with the memories of a beautiful holiday.
